Stable long‑term operation is one of the core concerns for buyers of X‑ray security‑inspection equipment. Favorable technical parameters on specification sheets cannot fully reflect real‑world operating reliability. Every Eastimage X‑ray security scanner undergoes a full set of standardized factory acceptance tests before delivery, to identify potential defects at the production stage rather than after on‑site deployment. All testing specifications are uniformly applied across our complete product portfolio.
Imaging performance verification
Technicians adopt standard test phantoms to inspect steel penetration depth, wire resolution and material discrimination performance. This procedure validates that the device can effectively distinguish organic, inorganic and mixed‑composition items and deliver steady image quality for detecting concealed objects. Built‑in software modules, including image zoom, snapshot storage and alarm functions, are fully verified in this phase.
Radiation safety inspection
Radiation leakage measurements are taken at multiple measuring points 5 cm from the equipment housing, covering lead curtain gaps and chassis joints. Every unit must satisfy strict radiation safety standards before proceeding to subsequent testing, protecting operators and surrounding personnel from excessive radiation exposure.
Mechanical & electrical function test
Inspectors verify conveyor belt operation, load capacity, emergency stop responsiveness, power supply adaptability and noise indicators. Abnormal vibration, belt offset and unstable electrical performance are screened out in this procedure.
Multi‑hour high‑intensity burn‑in aging test
Upon passing all preceding inspection items, each unit is subjected to continuous high‑load operation lasting for several hours under simulated heavy‑duty working scenarios. This accelerated stress test helps detect hidden risks such as loose wiring, insufficient heat dissipation, component overheating and early‑stage wear of mechanical parts. Only scanners that complete the full burn‑in cycle are eligible for final packaging.
After passing all inspection items, an independent factory test record will be generated for each finished unit.
Shanghai Eastimage was founded in 2003. We operate an in‑house production base covering 50 000 ㎡ together with an independent R&D laboratory, owning more than 70 patents and 33 software copyrights. Our sales department and technical team work independently. The sales team processes incoming inquiries and formulates quotations according to clients’ actual site conditions. When customized configuration is required, our technical team develops tailored hardware and software solutions to match project requirements.
